Brooklyn Meadows, MA, LCMHCA

Hi there, I’m Brooklyn, and I’m so happy you made it here. Before you decide if you want to share your journey with me, I’d like to tell you a little about mine.

I grew up in Tennessee and began my career as an elementary school teacher. Summers were spent exploring nature across America, hiking our national parks and writing about what I found. For me, the outdoors became a place where I didn’t have to perform, fix, or hold it all together. It was simply a space that accepted me as I was. I bring that same spirit to my counseling practice by creating a safe environment for my clients full of open-minded acceptance and unconditional positive regard where we explore what matters to you at your pace.

In addition to my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tennessee Tech University, I earned a master’s degree in creative writing, where I focused on giving a voice to children whose struggles had deeply impacted me. That work taught me that while our experiences shape us, it’s the meaning we make from those experiences that define our path forward. Sharing your story takes courage, and I would feel honored to listen, understand, and walk alongside you as you discover your capacity for healing and growth.

In therapy, we will take a holistic approach by exploring what works for you, always highlighting your strengths and resilience using evidence-based treatments. I especially enjoy using Attachment Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, somatic and creative arts practices, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families of various ages, and I have experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, major life transitions, and other mental health concerns.

I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and collaborating with you on your journey.
