Hello! My name is Rachel, and as a therapist I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental space grounded in trust for you to work through whatever you feel is holding you back from living your life the way you hope to. I use evidence-based techniques, such as psychodynamic and attachment-oriented therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and provide trauma-informed care to help you reach your goals.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A), and I provide outpatient counseling at Forsyth Family Counseling for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My areas of interest and expertise include trauma and PTSD, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+, religious trauma, and relationship conflict.
I am also a trained yoga teacher (RYT-500) and believe in the connection between our minds, bodies, and breath. I often use mindfulness and even gentle movement tools with clients when it may contribute to the therapeutic process.
If you are struggling or suffering, you have a place here. I look forward to working together to help you achieve your goals and live a fuller, happier life.
