Katiuska "Kat" Morgan, MA, LCMHCA

Starting this September

Se habla español

Hello! I'm Katiuska. My name is Russian, but I pronounce it in Spanish. I completely understand that it can be difficult to pronounce, so please feel free to call me "Kat."

I am a first-generation American who was born into a Dominican family, which makes me bilingual and bicultural. I was born and raised in Queens, New York—one of the most culturally diverse counties in the world—and I am grateful for how that experience shaped my appreciation for people from all backgrounds. It has deepened my cultural sensitivity and allows me to genuinely enjoy working with individuals from diverse cultures and walks of life.

I graduated from Liberty University with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024 and am currently pursuing certification as a Brain Health Coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors..

I am passionate about taking a holistic approach to mental health by considering the connection between the body, mind, emotions, and spirit and how each influences worldview and overall well-being. My therapeutic approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. My approach is attachment focused and trauma-informed, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and other evidence-based approaches to meet each client's unique needs.

I work with children ages 4 and up, as well as adolescents and adults experiencing concerns such as low self-esteem and self-worth, anxiety, depression, life transitions and adjustments, marital and relationship challenges, grief, relational wounds, betrayal trauma, identity issues, religious trauma, life stressors, and more.

Every person's story is unique. Together, we'll explore the experiences, relationships, culture, beliefs, and values that have shaped who you are today. I welcome people of all cultural backgrounds and spiritual or religious perspectives. If Christian faith is a part of your story and you desire Christian counseling, I enjoy integrating your faith by combining a biblical worldview with evidence-based interventions at the level of depth that feels comfortable for you.

Serving and developing meaningful relationships with people of all ages has always been at the heart of my work. My personal story led me down a path of pursuing wholeness physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I believe I carry a story that led me to answering a call to become a mental health counselor in order to help others in the same way I have been helped.

I believe true growth and healing come from being fully known, heard, seen, and loved. My passion is to create a warm, nurturing, nonjudgmental, and safe space for you to heal and grow. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey as you discover more about who you are and live a life of purpose.

Thank you for reaching out for help. I am really glad you're here.
