Seeking therapeutic counseling can be challenging for any number of reasons, from being ready to take the first step on your mental health journey to finding a
therapist that's right for you. Wherever you are in your journey, I aim to provide a comforting, non-judgemental environment where you feel heard and comfortable being yourself. Therapy is a
collaborative process where you are the expert in your own life and your goals are the focus. There are numerous techniques that exist and I will work with you to find what best suits your needs. No
matter who you are, where you're from, or what you need, I will work hard to deliver the best care for you.
I received my Master's in Social Work and Certificate in Mental Health Practice from Simmons University and have a Bachelor's of Arts in both Psychology and
Criminal Studies. My background informs what lenses I apply and the evidenced-based practices I use. A trauma-focused lens, cultural humility, and gender affirming care are central to my practice
which is further informed by attachment, developmental, and person-in-environment theories. Some of the evidence-based practices I draw from include: narrative therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness,
and motivational interviewing.
My main areas of focus are ADHD, autism, anxiety, sexual and gender identity, attachment and relationships, adolescents, and young
adults. My experience is varied and includes individuals of all ages, autistic individuals, LGBTQIA+, and those with anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, grief, trauma, substance
use disorders, chronic illness/pain, and general life transitions.
