I will work with you and your child using proven evidence-based treatments. What are evidence-based treatments? They are types of therapies that have a great deal of research proving effectiveness.  I will use the most appropriate and effective treatment based on the symptoms presented.

I have specialized training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) through learning collaboratives affiliated with Duke University.  I was the first PCIT rostered therapist in Winston Salem.

PCIT significantly improves parenting skills, decreases child conduct-disordered problem behaviors in young children, and enhances parent-child relationships, with studies demonstrating long-term success.

TF-CBT results in significant improvements to trauma-related symptoms, helps with depression and problem behaviors in children, as well as decreasing emotional distress in parents.

My greatest satisfaction is in helping children, teens, and their families regain peace in their lives.  Don’t put this off any longer, take that first step for you and your child’s emotional health.
