Thank you for reaching out for help.  Here is a little bit about me...

I am originally from Texas, I’ve lived in two countries and three states, and have passport stamps from 21 nations. I enjoy experiencing culture and adventure. Travel has broadened my worldview and cultivated a perspective of openness, non-judgment, and compassion.

Using evidence and strengths-based approaches, we will explore your questions and goals collaboratively through an integrated, holistic lens. That’s a fancy way of saying we will do this thing together. We’re going to play to your strengths. And we will borrow from the wisdom and successes of those who have gone before us to find ways for you to become unstuck. Some of my favorite treatment methods are Attachment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. Spiritual or Faith integration is available upon request. With a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and two decades of lay counseling experience, I enjoy working with teenagers, adults, engaged or married couples, and families; there is a soft spot in my heart for teens, young families, and those who grieve. Clients between 13-80 experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, attachment ruptures, relationship issues, marital conflict, family conflict, major life adjustments, young adulthood, parenting issues, men’s issues, chronic health issues, and more are always welcome in my office.

Outside the office, I enjoy good coffee, jamming in my car at red lights, gardening, running, playing board games, visiting national parks with my family, and planning my next adventure. You’ll find me laid back, curious, and willing to sit with you in whatever pain or stuckness you’re experiencing. We’ll talk, laugh (yes, therapy is an excellent place for laughter!), possibly draw stick figures (I’m a visual learner but a poor artist), and discover your next steps. I’m a holistic, compassionate, one-day-at-a-time kind of therapist. If that sounds like a good fit for you, let’s set up an Intake Session and get to work!
