Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Family Therapist
I work individually with children, adolescents, adults, and families and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you! I believe that every individual has the ability and personal strength to learn, grow, adapt, and change. As your therapist, we will work together to facilitate growth, develop new skills, and foster healing. My hope and intention is that you will leave each session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful. My belief is that you are the expert on your own needs and have the personal strength and capacity to meet them. Every individual experiences their own unique feelings and thoughts, and therapy is a safe place to express them in a supportive and respectful environment. My job as your therapist is to partner with you, so that you are able to identify your needs and reach your goals.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a master’s degree in School Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I believe the most foundational aspect of counseling is a relationship of mutual respect, trust, and understanding. After this is established, I use a variety of theoretical approaches and evidence-based techniques to support you in meeting your counseling goals. I have experience working with clients of all ages. I will aim to help you better understand your emotions and thoughts and will assist you in developing the skills to manage those feelings and thoughts when they become unpleasant, so that you can live a more peaceful life. Whether you are experiencing stress or anxiety, depression, relational or social concerns, or another significant life change, I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your path to health and healing.
