Our current world is so stressful. Demands are continuously asked of us from work, school, family, and friends. It’s hard to keep up! Having a place to land with a nonjudgmental, caring ear can help. I specialize in working with individuals and couples experiencing anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, burnout, parenting concerns, and family/relationship conflict. I also work with children and specialize in neurodivergence, maladaptive behaviors, and high anxiety. I provide family therapy as well and have seen great success in supporting families this way. If you are hoping to reduce your daily overwhelm, unpack your family history and trauma, or would like to improve your connections with your partner or family, this is the right place for you.
I provide outpatient therapy at Forsyth Family Counseling, specializing in attachment-focused, trauma-informed care. As a previous elementary school teacher, I love engaging in play or art therapy with children to reach each child’s specific needs. For adults, I incorporate lots of mindfulness into my sessions and utilize a direct, relational approach. Finally, I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples to increase communication, build positive connection, and have each person’s needs feel heard and respected.
I work to provide an authentic, warm, and collaborative space to find what works best for each client, couple, and family. Each person is unique, so the counseling experience should be as well. With our work together, you can set actionable goals, build compassion for yourself, get more of your needs met, and start to feel lighter. Please reach out! I would love to be a support on your journey.
