You are taking an important step, reaching out for help.  Here is a bit about myself.  I have over 30 years experience in the behavioral health profession, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in both California and North Carolina. I first received my certification in Health and Human Services in 1989 and completed undergraduate and graduate studies in 1995 earning a master’s degree in social work from San Diego State University.

Throughout my career, I balanced my practice between mental health and substance use disorder treatment, while teaching at several universities and community colleges in Southern California. My work experience has also broadened my efforts to include the public sector, county government, community-based organizations, and federally qualified health centers. I currently support my clients' desire to receive lasting practical changes through evidence - based practice.  I look forward to working with you soon.
