Starting summer 2023
I’m so glad you’re here! Seeking help takes courage; therefore, it is important to find a therapeutic relationship that is the right fit for you. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where we can work collaboratively to help you heal, grow, and flourish. I believe that everyone has unique gifts and strengths, including the tools inside them to bring about change, no matter what season of life they may be walking through.
Using evidence-based practices, I hope to work with clients toward living a life in alignment with their own personal goals and values. I take a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to counseling, meaning I strive to view each person from a holistic perspective that recognizes how various aspects— i.e., environment, health, culture, and worldview— impact them. During my counseling practicum on the Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, I received training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). I also have experience facilitating group therapy.
