Given the right environment and care, everyone can discover their ability to flourish. I strive to create a supportive framework in which you are empowered to show up wholly and authentically in a safe, warm, and judgment-free place. I utilize an integrative style meaning I believe there is significance in a person-centered approach, early childhood experiences, family systems, and mindfulness, and will draw upon what your unique circumstances call for. My work is rooted in holistic and evidence-based modalities where each session will be customized to your needs while using techniques that have proven to be effective.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Counseling at Wake Forest University. Beforeleaping back into school, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Community and Therapeutic Recreation at UNC-Greensboro in 2016. I worked as a Licensed Recreational Therapist in inpatient behavioral health hospitals working with both children and adults. I have also worked in the foster care system training clinicians, staff, and families on trauma-informed care.
In my free time, you can find me spending time with my husband, our two cats and two dogs (vacuuming often!), reading, cooking, and exploring walking trails with the dogs in tow.
