Thank you for reaching out for help and to learn a little more about me. For a start, I am a compassionate therapist who enjoys helping others work through changes and transitions. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young adults, families, and older adults.
I use a person-centered approach utilizing evidence-based therapies based on the needs of the individual, providing a caring, calming, and supportive environment to promote healing and growth. My approach is to build a positive therapeutic relationship to help you with your emotions, thoughts, and feelings. I will work with you on your goals, strengths, and expectations. Through this process you will learn effective ways to handle life’s challenges.
I am passionate in helping individuals navigate through all different stages of life. Working with individuals on anxiety, coping skills, divorce, family conflict, grief, learning disability, life transitions, marital issues, parenting, peer relationships, school issues, stress, ADHD, special needs, developmental disorders, self-regulation skills and trauma.
I hold a master’s degree in School Counseling from UNC-Charlotte. I am a Licensed Counselor Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and a Licensed North Carolina School Counselor. I have worked for over 32 years as a School Counselor in public and private school. I also have experience working with a wide variety of ages in a counseling agency setting. I am looking forward to working with you.
