Anne-Hampton Harden, MSW, LCSWA

Children, Adolescent, Adult, and Family Therapist

My name is Anne-Hampton Harden and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and your family! I believe all individuals are composed of unique emotions and reactions to these feelings. In counseling, I aim to provide a space for clients to work through each of these emotional experiences, understand them better, and learn new skills for managing them when needed. Therapy is a way to care for ourselves so that we may better face the various challenges of life, both expected and unexpected, with a stronger sense of self. My goal as a counselor is to walk alongside my clients with compassion and sincerity as they learn more about themselves and their relationships with family, friends, and their community.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with a Master of Social Work from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With a foundation built on enhancing each individual’s well-being, I approach counseling empathetically and with a strengths-based mindset. While I aim to utilize several different evidence-based practices including, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, etc., I also understand that each individual’sexperiences are unique. Therefore, I work to ensure a collaborative, therapeutic environment where goals are set in accordance with the individual’s hopes and needs. My experience is in working with individuals of all ages and helping them better understand their range of thoughts and feelings and what can be done with these in moving forward towards healing.

From daily life stressors and transitions, to trauma exposure, I believe that all experiences are worthy of processing and addressing, and with this processing, growth and change are possible. It is my utmost priority to create a safe and comfortable environment for clients to feel heard and validated as they move through this process. I would encourage you to reach out to me if you have further questions or are interested in working together. Thank you for your consideration!
