Adolescents, Adults and Family: Trauma, Eating Disorders & Addiction Issues
The stress of life can often hold you back from your fullest potential. Stress, anxiety, and trauma can become overwhelming and get in the way of you building relationships and living your best life. Sometimes it can be hard to work through life’s struggles alone, and you shouldn’t have to. Therapy can be a safe, collaborative place to work through and process those struggles without judgment.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate, with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. I utilize evidence-based therapy techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and individualize treatment for my clients. I am experienced and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Eating Disorders. EMDR is a type of therapy that involves specific eye movements and other forms of bilateral stimulation, while processing trauma memories. The goal of EMDR is to help you heal from past traumatic experiences and other distressing moments and memories.
I approach each client with compassion and non-judgment. I have worked with families, teens and adults to help them find their potential and become the best versions of themselves. While my primary focus is trauma and eating disorders, I also enjoy working with a variety of concerns, including self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, women’s issues, addiction-PTSD, and other significant life changes. Starting therapy can be scary, overwhelming or even exciting. My goal is to provide you with a safe place to grow while building a trusting, therapeutic relationship to empower you to live the life that you choose.
