During counseling I believe the client is the best resource of knowledge and strength. Everyone has the ability to succeed, learn, and utilize hope for that growth. I am simply a facilitator in helping you meet your goals to a healthy path in life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician with a Master’s in School Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. My background focuses on the use of person-centered therapy, reality therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also rostered in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is an evidenced-based practice centered on aiding individual in recovering from and understanding the traumatic events that have occurred in their lifetime. I believe that we all need support in various ways, and one most important piece is a systemic approach via our families or other outside members key to our success.
I thoroughly enjoy helping children, youth, and adults become healthier individuals while improving family dynamics in the process. I have helped many clients manage, improve and treat symptoms or behaviors such as anxiety, depressive, anger, trauma, panic, social skills, organizational, and life skills.
Through hope and perseverance, change is possible. When you’re ready to get to work on a new, healthy you, I’m here get in the trenches with you.
